This little mix is my tribute to the early days of the mighty Renegade Hardware record label, one of the premier providers of darkside drum n’ bass. This mix features some of my favourite tracks from their first twenty or so releases, and was originally done as the first in a planned series of tributes to some of the best drum n’ bass labels, although sadly I never got around to doing any more until I did Mean Machine earlier this year.

Renegade Hardware was born in South London in 1995 as a darkside/techstep sub-label of the more jump-up jungle-oriented Trouble On Vinyl. Over the years they have been responsible for some of the biggest drum n’ bass anthems, particularly on the darker/harder tip. I really loved many of their early releases, which is why I have done this mix. Enjoy!
