The essential Facebook group <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/LongLiveBCJ\/\">Long Live Beautifully Crafted Jungle<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I joined originally to share and discover tunes from the original glory days of drum n&#8217; bass\/jungle, and I have done a lot of that, <i>but<\/i>, in the process of doing so, I have also (probably against my actual needs) found that there is a <i>lot<\/i> of high-quality dnb\/jungle being produced right now. Some of it taps that original vibe while also utilizing modern production techniques. Some of it is just crispy rolling business (always a favorite). And some of it takes the 160-170 bpm matrix in new directions by incorporating influences from more recent styles of electronic music, such as juke, dubstep and grime. With this mix I tried to incorporate a bit of all of those flavors over 25 tracks, so that (of course) throwback Amen smashers feature, but also minimal pulsers, dubby halfstep excursions, and classic rollers as well.<\/p>\n<p>Of couse, the reality is that there is a lot of <i>terrible<\/i> modern drum n&#8217; bass, and mainstream drum n&#8217; bass is a complete shit show. But hey, it&#8217;s very easy to ignore that stuff!
